About:

Marcia has been working with coffee since childhood, on the farm where her parents worked. In 1994, she got married, and she and her husband started working with her in-laws on their farm. In 1998, this friendly and hard-working couple managed to buy their land and decided to focus more on specialty coffees. Since then, year by year, they have won prizes through competitions and contests, so their passion for coffee has always increased, as they learn more every single year. They have qualified in quality and sustainability. Nowadays, they own two farms, in Campanha city and São Gonçalo do Sapucai. The total area of the two farms is 11 hectares. The average productivity is 250 bags per year. Varietals produced are: Arara, Icatu, Yellow and Red Catuaí, Mundo Novo, and last year, Marcia got Organic certification. Not only is she the head of coffee in the family, but she also strives to implement sustainable practices, such as regenerative agriculture. This involves planting various types of plants among coffee trees, which boosts the quality of the soil by enriching its nutrition and significantly reducing the need for pesticides. She is a well-oriented boss and role model in the family; her son Bruno now roasts coffee and has developed sensory skills that help the family to check the quality of their coffee.
